So today I am asking you to think carefully and pause for a second!! You have 10 weeks in total to complete your coursework for marking...... Think about your work for a moment and it is time to make a decision as to what direction you're going to take in the coming weeks to secure either the level your predicted or the level you wish to achieve.

Final Piece based on your research and experimentation (25marks)
Present a personal, informed and meaningful response, demonstrating analytical and critical understanding, realising intentions and making visual and written connections, linking all of your ideas together.

What do I need to produce in each lesson?
A Photo shoot & detailed edit presented in sketchbook or a detailed research page & photo shoot all presented in your sketchbook.

Choose one example to examine in more depth and identify the strengths and weaknesses of the work.

Learning Objective:

To complete stage 4 of your Coursework by planning your final piece, developing 3 or more different ideas into possible outcomes and then, creating your final Outcome and present with analytical reflection.

Expectations from September to Christmas.
​

Checklist:
Research 6-8 more artists of your choice
​
Respond to your artists by taking at least 5 different photoshoots
Experiment with techniques inspired by the artists you have researched, at least 2 for each artist researched
Present ideas for a final piece, drawing on the ideas and experiments you have already done.
A plan of what your final pieces will be, with mock ups of them.
A final photoshoot (you need to re-shoot to improve on the images you already have)
Refine and present your final pieces with an evaluation.

Your work needs to have context. An image can speck a thousand words, but for it to be fully effective it has to engage with a wider audience.

Over the next three weeks the opportunity to take photos using different approaches
is offered to you... alongside the set tasks started.
If you haven't taken any images during Lockdown or you would like to expand on what you have, here is your golden opportunity to work with others or independently to really secure your photography Level/Grade.

WEEK ONE:

Identify what your planned outcome(s) is to be. Create a page in your sketchbook of inspiration taken from initial Investigation.
​
​
​
2:
Create a Pinterest board called Final Piece Ideas and pin at least 30 different ideas for your possible final pieces. Present all inspiration found across 2 pages in your sketchbook. Identify and annotate your reasoning, how you plan to do something similar and more importantly..... What is the context and narrative behind your considered outcome(s)?

3:
Choose 3 of your favourite images and respond by doing a photoshoot.

For some of you, you may need to expand on your current work. Here are some further experimental ideas to help you get to the end..

With an idea in mind, it is time to get designing. Using the images taken in your latest shoot or images you have taken already, create at least 3 or more different Mock Ups of your Final Pieces. Experiment with the new ideas you have found....
Experiment with your photographs to create solutions to your chosen brief ....Start composing. Aim to complete one final piece over two lessons.

Respond once more and create two further possible final pieces as shown below. Each time, change the Layout, Pallet of colours used and consider Composition and Text in your design , but ensure there is a uniform design that connects all three designs.

HALF TERM
​
Please make the most of the opportunity this half term to take as many photos and if you can. Plan two shoots to support your developing coursework to date, and on your return you will have the chance of develop a hugely successful body of work with this new and fresh imagery.

WEEK SEVEN & EIGHT:
​
To show a fully Develop Outcome
that is personal, informed and meaningful in your response, but above all links all of your ideas together. You are asked to work your way through the 3 options listed below:
​
1:
What does your neighbour in class think of what you have done?
Get Peer Assessing and take on board they considerations and implement these into a new designed piece.
​
2:
You are asked to select two of your favourite pieces and combine elements to create a new considered final piece. Repeat this process again and again to generate another series of works.
​
3:
Get inspired further, seek out some further images or artists work to give your work another dimension. Revisit your Pinterest board and identify elements that can be used in your idea.
Create a forth Outcome that brings in another twist and takes your work beyond your initial response.
WEEK TEN to TWELEVE:

Its time to put your Final Piece Design Outcomes into
CONTEXT.

Find some images or get pinning identifying where your work would be best seen and connect your designs with context.
